Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has launched a new news magazine and website titled “The Phantom,” a platform designed to showcase his vision for Kenya and trace his political journey from when he first joined government at age 29.

Mudavadi described the platform as more than just a publication. “It represents a space for ideas, dialogue, and exchange; an interactive hub that seeks to amplify Kenya’s voice in economic diplomacy, safeguard our national interests, and foster partnerships that drive trade, investment, and sustainable development,” he said.

The Phantom will allow Mudavadi to communicate directly with Kenyans, sharing not just achievements but the ideals and goals that guide his public service.

Each edition of the magazine and website will give insight into his career, leadership style, and experiences, including his early involvement in sports like soccer, rugby, hockey, sprinting, and swimming skills he says shaped his strategic thinking.

The platform will focus on transformation across the country, highlighting economic reforms, grassroots projects, and policies that benefit youth and future generations. “Real leadership is about putting people first,” Mudavadi said.

Jacob Ngetich, Director for Press Service, noted that Mudavadi’s political career mirrors his calm and tactical approach on the rugby field as “The Phantom,” navigating complex political landscapes with discretion and impact.

The magazine and website will also cover Mudavadi’s time as Minister in the Moi, Kibaki, and Ruto administrations, his tenure as Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and his contributions as a Presidential candidate. It will explore his role in liberalizing Kenya’s economy, co-architecting devolution under the 2010 Constitution, mediating during the 2007/2008 post-election crisis, and shaping the Kenya Kwanza government.

Mudavadi emphasized that, The Phantom will enhance communication of government policies, track over 700 pieces of legislation under the Kenya Kwanza regime, and demystify foreign policy, making it more accessible to citizens. He also called on media collaboration to package and convey government actions effectively.

With this launch, The Phantom seeks to create a clear, interactive, and user-friendly space for Kenyans to understand leadership, development, and governance, while engaging with the ideas shaping the nation.
